Hey Mom - I added a new page to my IBR trip
report. :-) The new page is here.
I am very glad that Lennox Lewis finally got the decision he deserved in the Holyfield fight tonight. Wish I'd have seen it, hopefully HBO will replay it soon.
I also updated my wish list for the upcoming holiday season, in the hopes that people will shower me senseless with gifts. ;-)
Also decided to change the color scheme of this page. I'm not certain if I love it or hate it yet. After I'd got it all set, I realized I'd nearly matched the colors of the 1999 Minnesota 1000.
Updated a bit of my endurance riding page, and realized how much I really have to say about this stuff; unfortunately, it's after 3am and I'm getting sleepy. I also need to link up a lot more of my friends' web sites there.

Still working on the motorcycle section. I've added a few new bits
to Grak's page, put up a crash damage page, and a
repair estimates page. I even
wrote a bit more on Cicada's page, to
kind of close out my chapter with her.
Still tinkering with the mcycle stuff - put Ted Verrill's crash report message up.
I think there are new rants and stories which I've forgotten to link up here over the last week, as well.
Tuesday, November 9, 1999
Reorganized my motorcycling links page for
easier use. Still need to go through and weed out the broken links, and add
a few more; that'll happen soon enough. I'm also in the process of trying to
revamp a few of the other motorcycle pages. I threw together a quick crash damage page, though not all the
photos have been scanned in yet.

Bubble wrap is good.
Added a few more thoughts to the highly-conflicted rant about planetary awareness.

Something for Nutt
I finally got the rest of the '99 Daytona Bike Week slides scanned in. Fully a third of them need redoing, though, alas. Captions page to follow eventually. For now, it's just an index of shots. Those that are labeled "whatever-taken" are shots that will theoretically appear in Twistgrip magazine, whenever they get their next issue out.
I found a piece about singles ads and thought I would throw it out here, even though I've forgotten what I originally wanted to say in there.
I also found A Tale of John Fishback, a short story about a friend of a friend whom I never met. This was written almost a year ago, and the timing of me finding it now is rather poignant, as the epilogue to the piece notes.

Is Awareness Tantamount to Depression?
Tuesday, October 19, 1999
Shortly after the '99 Iron Butt Rally, the Long Distance Riders community
(and others) suffered a terrible loss: The death of Fran Crane. Fran was an
astounding rider, and an amazing human being, and those who knew or knew of her
will miss her presence in our lives. Fran was, and continues to be, one of my
heroes. At Fran's memorial service, a 12-page
booklet containing photos, poems, and prose was given to those attending.
Tom Austin and Joe Denton have put the booklet online, so that those of us
who were not able to attend are still able to see it. You'll find the
booklet here. Please
take a moment to glance through it, and appreciate a little part of who
Fran was.

Put an updated version of my resume online. Not completely
polished yet, but getting there.
Monday, October 11, 1999
There is hope for the bike after all, thanks to the Reverend Eddie James.
Further, I am finally putting into motion a photo project that I've been knocking around in my head for a couple of years.
It isn't new, but I just reread this piece after having flown a lot this past weekend. I like it. It made me chuckle a few times. Just thought I'd point it out again.

Progressive totals my motorcycle.
In other news, my website makes it into Print Magazine.

The Demystification of the American Penis
Monday, September 27, 1999
I finally put the 1999
Minnesota 1000 photos online. Sorry it took so long, folks!
There's also a new story in my erotica section.
Tuesday, September 21, 1999
I'm home! Just spent a month on a motorcycle road trip, and yes, there will
be a full (very long) trip report. Soon. Honestly! Also, I wrote
up another product review about my new
BMW GS Boots.
And, due to popular request, I've put my webcam back online, although the speech feature will soon be completely disabled. 12/3/99 - Nikita is now defunct, since I'm no longer working for the U - perhaps the webcam will be back online elsewhere someday.

Sunday, April 11, 1999
A new story (actually very old) finally
found its way onto my stories page.
A new rant is there, though it's not really a rant, and I'm not telling you what it is yet. I'll bet you can find it, though; you're an intrepid group.

A new featured poem has been added, as well as another
poem.
Tuesday, March 30, 1999
Added more product reviews to the

Got my Iron Butt SS1K verification in
the mail today - woohoo!!
A piece on Courage, and what I want to be,
and how.
My thoughts on this past winter
Solstice, and how it didn't turn out anywhere near as planned.
Also, Derek Walker has his own domain now, at www.peacewalker.com, so his site no
longer lives here.
Sunday, December 6, 1998
Added bits and pieces to my long distance
riding page, including the best advice I
ever got on how to ride endurance-type rides.
Added new pictures to the Seca II page,
including post-crash photos.
Added more (mostly pointless) photos of my BMW
K100RS.
Wrote up a brief little bit on the symbiotic

Collected thoughts and experiences on
motorcycling trips (in progress,) as well as more product reviews.
Tuesday, August 11, 1998
Office Cam - another
in a series of egomaniacal efforts to consume umich's bandwidth. If
the page is unreachable, then the webcam software has crashed the Mac,
or I'm fiddling with something; try back later, eh?
Friday, August 7, 1998
I'm in the process of writing up two trip reports, one for the Honda Hoot in June, and the other for the
SaddleSore 1000 trip I just made with Troy
July 30 - August 3rd.

Added some things to the top of my "What I

Sex & the Single "Citrus Slammer." That's all I'm saying
about it.
Tuesday, June 17, 1998
With the upcoming Honda Hoot trip, my mind has obviously been preoccupied
with that, so I've been puttering more with the motorcycling section. I've
included a product review area on
the main page, although there aren't many actual reviews there yet.
Sunday, June 14, 1998
A bit on motorcycling stupidity and being
a biker chick
Began updating the main biking page
Tuesday, June 9, 1998
A few thoughts on riding motorcycles I had
last night and over the past week or so.
Tuesday, April 7, 1998
A rant on the whole queer pride movement
Wednesday, April 1, 1998:
No, no April Fools stuff...Like I have the energy!
A rant about these damned "Too Hot for
TV" videotapes
Tuesday, March 24, 1998:
A new game testing your knowledge of 70's and 80's lyrics.
Not completely done yet, by the by.
Thursday, March 12, 1998:
A bit of a spew about a jerk., and
probably some other random babblings in there as well.
Tuesday, March 10, 1998:
Ok, ok, I'm behind again. From memory:
Thoughts on polyamory. Yes more of them.
Believe it or not, a FAQ.
A new erotic story.
I'm happy being single.
Tuesday, February 17, 1998:
Shoot, I've let this get way behind. Let's see. Many new poems have been added. Maybe a new rant or two. Put up a new section on
birdwatching. Erm...Bits and pieces all
over, really. Seriously reworked some parts, and am trying to go
through and cull all the really old and outdated bits.
Sunday, November 22, 1997:
Well, I seem to be on this big philosophical bend right now. I'm working
on a couple of new rants about various religious
stuffs, and I'm doing a lot of reading on the subject as well. My debt
load has been lightened considerably, thanks to a special someone, and
my mind has been noticeably freer to think about other things. Lots of
stuff is coming out.
Not to say I'm not also still thinking in terms of material stuff: I've put up a Wish List for those folks interested in getting me a little something for the upcoming holidays (and I don't expect anything, don't worry - it's mostly for my family and for myself.)
Thursday, November 13, 1997:
A new rant about the rampant generational whining I'm seeing all over.
Monday, November 3, 1997:
Posted a conversation I'm having with a
Christian about religion, spirituality, et cetera. Interesting reading
if you're into this sort of thing.
Saturday, November 1, 1997:
OK, so I'm a little edgy. OK, so I put ANOTHER new front end on, sort
of. And there are more revisions in the works. It's just hard to let go
of some of the original stuff, because...well, it's been here from the
start, and I get irrationally and strongly sentimentally attached to
things like this. So look for further revisions.
Saturday, October 25, 1997:
I'm finally getting around to writing up my trip report from last
November to San Francisco. I spent a couple of hours scanning photos,
and then several more converting them (improperly, mind you) to things
web browsers will recognize.
Friday, October 24, 1997:
Oh, hell, I don't know what's new and what's not...the only thing I
can tell you is I put a(nother) whole new front end on the thing, and
that is going to take a lot of extra work to bring the rest of the
site up to that standard. But slowly, I'm sure. I am about to crawl
under my desk for a nap, so don't mind me for now.
Tuesday, September 9, 1997:
Clearing up two misconceptions: A quote allegedly from Nelson Mandela,
and a speech allegedly by Kurt Vonnegut. Both are not. Click here for the scoop.
Sunday, August 24, 1997:
The rant on commercials is sort of finished.
Friday, August 15, 1997:
New front end on the whole mess. I'm beginning to get the urge to
completely revamp everything, and I may as well start at the
start, eh? So, look for changes hither and thither. I'm also
working on some new rants for you. For you? Who am I kidding.
They're completely self-indulgent. I've moved into a new
apartment, have had a radical change in my job, and things are
In Flux. Apt, don't you think?
Tuesday, July 1, 1997:
As little fun as it is to be desperately in love with someone you
can't have...it's not much fun to not want anyone, either. Whereas
unrequited love is sheer passion, the lack thereof is sheer boredom.
Monday, June 23, 1997:
Doing some updates, revisions, et cetera.
Also added some text to those digicam photos...see this area if you're interested. You may
want to take a look at the first project before
looking at the second, however.
Sunday, March 30, 1997:
A whole slew of pictures taken today for the
second part of my ongoing digicam project. No text yet, just the
photos.
Friday, March 21, 1997:
A whole new subsection devoted to shamanism.
Thursday, March 6, 1997:
